ABOUT THE BOOK
Approximately fifty years ago, involvement of the United States in what has become known as the Vietnam War, essentially, terminated. However, during that span of time the stories of the wives who supported deployed men serving the conflict have remained untold.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Charlotte McDaniel is a member of a Gold Star family. Prior to retiring from Emory University in Atlanta, GA., she held academic appointments at Yale University and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, including several Fulbrights. She’ll be speaking about her book at the upcoming Virginia Festival of the Book.
