Charlotte McDaniel
As a member of a Gold Star family, Charlotte McDaniel has long appreciated the challenges for families in which, sadly, a loved one did not return from the Vietnam War, a development sparking interest in this project. Prior to retiring from Emory University in Atlanta, GA., she held academic appointments at Yale University and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, including several Fulbrights. While authoring numerous research studies and academic books, this is her first non-fiction work.
In March of 2020, Charlotte McDaniel will be speaking about Stories Untold at the Virginia Festival of the Book.
